Waffle iron A hinged mould for cooking waffle and wafer batter. It is usually made of cast iron coated with nonstick plastic. Both stove top and electric models are available.
Spatzle Press For making spatzle dumplings. There are several versions of this machine: one is similar to a vegetable grater, another is a large perforated cone with a lever that forces the dough through the holes. The third kind is like a food mill with revolving blades; this machine comes with a board(with a hole in the center) which rests the machine on the pan.
Tongue Press A hinged metal plate and bowl for pressing tongue, it keeps the meat steady as it cools.
Pizza Paddle A flat wooden or metal shovel with a long handle, used to transfer pizza to the oven or table
Pizza or bread stone A ceramic round, used intead of a baking tray for bread or pizza. A modern version is a set of tiles in a metal tin. The stone or tiles are used because they give bread or pizza a crisp bottom
Bagna cauda pot A tall glazed earthenware pot for bagna cauda. Sometimes the pot is sold as a set with the burner
Couscous pot or couscousiere A special double pot, made of aluminimum or earthenware, for cooking the North African speciality grain dish, couscous. The meat and vegetables are cooked in the bottom half, while the couscous is steamed in the perforated steamer that fits into it and rest on top
Asparagus Pan A tall, narrow aluminimum pan with an inner basket, for cooking asparagus upright so that the tips are steamed.
